He was born in Baltimore, MD and attended St. Joseph's High School and Loyola College. Upon graduation from college, he enlisted in to the U.S. Navy Attending Aviation Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Fl. He was commissioned and received his Navy Flight Wings of Gold. He served in the U.S. Navy before receiving an inter-service transfer to the Georgia Air National Guard/USAFR. Sal furthered his education earning a Masters degree in educational counseling/ psychology from Towson State University with honors. He worked in school systems in Maryland, Delaware and South Carolina before enrolling in law school. He attended Woodrow Wilson College of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree. Sal has practiced law for over ten (10) years and specializes in worker's compensation.
